About
I started building software in Tehran: backends for a tourism platform, then an e-commerce marketplace. Alongside that I studied psychology at Islamic Azad University and finished the coursework through the final year before I moved to the Netherlands. I've never felt they were separate interests. Both are about finding patterns in complex systems, one made of services and the other of people.
In the Netherlands I spent three and a half years at NN Group building banking systems: payment flows with sub-second fraud checks, compliance services for De Nederlandsche Bank, and the platform of services behind the NN app. Regulated software teaches you to respect evidence, audit trails, and what happens at 3 a.m. when something breaks. Since May 2026 I've been a Site Reliability Engineer at Booking.com.
