Work

Intuita · founder · 2026–now

An AI assistant for mental-health clinicians in the Netherlands. It grew out of the two things I've spent my life on: psychology and software. We're preparing a pilot with Dutch GGZ practices. Everything about the product lives on intuita.health; this site is where I think out loud.

Booking.com · Site Reliability Engineer · 2026–now

Global Traffic Distribution team, Amsterdam. Keeping the systems that route Booking.com's traffic reliable.

NN Group · Back-end developer · 2023–2026

NN Neobank Payments (2024–2026). I built high-volume fraud detection into the payments flow, with checks that finish in under a second and stop fraud before it can move downstream, under Dutch banking regulation. I also designed secure data pipelines between the payments data lake and the Justice Administration platform, giving regulatory and legal stakeholders governed access.

NN App Platform (2023–2024). I owned 17 backend-for-frontend services behind the NN app and led their refactors, deprecations and CI/CD pipelines. I led the integration of a payments compliance service for De Nederlandsche Bank and delivered it to a hard deadline. I built GraphQL observability that non-engineers could read, and was part of the 24/7 on-call rotation that kept the app at a 98% uptime SLA.

Espad Pouyesh Mandegar · Back-end developer · 2022–2023

I owned the largest service (about 100k lines of code) in an e-commerce microservices platform, plus three others. I removed Elasticsearch and Neo4j, re-architected the service, and replaced search with PostgreSQL full-text search, which made the product-recommendation feature finally work reliably in production.

Profile · Full-stack developer · 2019–2021

Tehran. I built a multi-domain tourism platform from scratch: one backend (REST, gRPC, GraphQL) serving three React front ends and connecting to legacy warehouse and transport systems.
